IRONREX by EXR Systems
Video analytics.
On your premises.
A closer look at the events that need your attention.
IRONREX is an on-premises video analytics appliance in development for security and loss prevention. It is designed to work with existing CCTV and help your team review events with the surrounding footage and context.

The local interface
Review events
with the full context.
The proposed IRONREX interface brings the camera view, event sequence and staff review into one workspace. Follow what happened, inspect the surrounding footage and record an assessment.

The flagged moment
The camera view draws attention to the movement worth checking. In this example, an item moves towards a bag.
The surrounding sequence
Before, event and after views sit alongside a timestamped sequence, keeping the earlier actions available for review.
The staff assessment
Review, notes and clip export share the same workspace in this concept. Staff verify what happened and document their decision.
An alert requests verification. Final interface features and detection performance will follow development and testing.

Useful context.
Human judgement.
Camera coverage and accessible video streams are assessed before installation. The base appliance connects to your existing camera network; it has no built-in PoE camera switch.
The IRONREX appliance
Local processing.
Practical hardware.
A serviceable enclosure brings local compute, evidence storage, connectivity and battery backup together.

Compute on site
Local processing is central to the product architecture.
Local evidence storage
Storage for event footage, context and pending uploads.
Mains-powered
Normal operation through the power supply. Internal battery backup for interruptions.
Made for integration
Dedicated camera-network, WAN and service connections in the current concept.
Product appearance shown is a concept. Final hardware configuration and specifications are subject to engineering validation.
Power and connectivity
Designed for the site.
Prepared for interruptions.
IRONREX runs on mains power. The architecture is designed to keep essential event processing and evidence on site, with separate fallback paths for power and connectivity.
Local first. Connected when available.
The appliance is designed to process camera footage on site. Broadband connects it to additional cloud analysis, remote notifications and evidence synchronisation.
A separate path to the cameras.
Ethernet is primary. Configured Wi-Fi is the planned backup to the same camera network.
Protect the whole video path.
Existing cameras, switches and any required recorder or access point need their own backup power.

Frequently asked questions
Before you
plan a pilot.
Compatibility, availability and what to expect from IRONREX.
Will I need to replace my cameras or recorder?
The goal is to reuse compatible CCTV equipment and work alongside your existing recorder. Integration depends on the camera or recorder model, accessible video streams and network setup. EXR Systems will assess these when planning an installation. The base appliance has no built-in PoE camera switch.
What is IRONREX being designed to do offline?
Observe camera footage, assess events, alert staff locally and preserve evidence, including after an offline restart. Cloud services can add context when connected. Remote notifications and uploads need an available connection; offline performance still needs validation.
Is IRONREX powered by the battery?
Normal operation is through its mains power supply. The internal battery is backup for power interruptions, with a target of 2–3 hours under load, to be validated. Cameras, switches, access points and any required recorder need their own backup power.
Does an alert mean theft has occurred?
No. An alert asks your team to verify an event using the available evidence. Unclear footage, occlusion and unresolved movements are part of the assessment. IRONREX is intended to support a human decision, not automatically accuse someone.
When can I install IRONREX?
IRONREX is in development, and we are inviting conversations about potential pilots for businesses. A dedicated industrial version is coming soon. Features, supported camera capacity, performance, installation availability and final specifications will follow validation.
